In July, Doug Pagitt sat down with author and historian Kristin Du Mez to talk about her book on militant Christian nationalism called Jesus and John Wayne: How White Evangelicals Corrupted a Faith and Fractured a Nation. Unfortunately Christian Nationalist rhetoric and violence has only increased in recent months making this conversation more timely than ever.
Kristin Kobes Du Mez is a professor of History and Gender Studies at Calvin University. She holds a PhD from the University of Notre Dame and her research focuses on the intersection of gender, religion, and politics.
